Matt Doctor is currently Chief Financial Officer of Kava. Prior to joining Kava, Matt worked at Restaurant Brands International (RBI), owner of the Tim Hortons, Burger King and Popeyes brands. At RBI, Matt held several different roles ranging from Head of Global Development and Franchisee Performance to leading mergers and acquisitions in Singapore and France for the Burger King brand. He later transitioned to the Tim Hortons brand and was responsible for the US expansion, which is where he met the founding members of Kava: Tom Reedy, Steve Williams and Tony Pervan. Prior to joining RBI, Matt worked in the Investment Banking Division of J.P. Morgan in New York, where he executed several M&A and Capital Markets transactions for Financial Institution Clients. Matt received a BBA with Distinction from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. He currently lives in Chicago.
